Youth Plans Trip to Zambia, Africa

Jacintha Antonio will travel with a group of seven young adults on an exposure trip to Zambia, May 15 – June 5, 2008.  While in Zambia, they will be hosted by two organizations which are in partnership with the United Church, Women for Change and People’s Action Forum.

Jacintha is a member of the United Church in Meadowood in Winnipeg and she has been selected to be a part of this team under the auspices of the Conference of Manitoba and North-western Ontario.

The purpose of this venture is to better understand the history of missiology in the church and the theology of partnership, and to build better relationships with people and churches around the world.

When they return from this trip, they will make presentations across the Conference about their experiences and about the organizations and individuals they visited.  They will then prepare for the scheduled exchange visit of Zambian young adults to Canada, in 2009.
